You were just hired as a Detective at the GCPD, you were young but intelligent for your age, you knew what you were doing and were always praised by the other officers and detectives as well.
You were well respected by everyone, everyone from Gotham’s villains, to the crime lords that would only respect you if you were fair in their dealings.
You were talkative with everyone on the team, but you were quiet, mostly speaking with Harvey and Jim as you were mostly with them when it came to cases, but there was one person you sometimes spoke to, but not all the time - Edward Nygma, the Forensics Scientist of the GCPD.
Right now you were stood with Harvey and Jim deliberating the fate of a criminal you’d just recaptured to either send them to Blackgate Prison or Arkham Asylum to spend the rest of their days.
So this was when Edward tried to voice his opinion to the three of you, “He….uh….doesn’t look like he’s insane.” it was clear he was talking about sending him to Blackgate rather than to Arkham.
With the discussion being interrupted - You, Harvey and Jim all looked to Edward and wondered why he was butting in and voicing his opinion where it wasn’t needed, but it was clear that he just wanted to get close to you to get you to see that his opinion was the right one,
“You agree with me, right?” He looked at you in hopes you’d agree with what he said. He could see that both Harvey and Jim were eyeballing the both of you as they didn’t know if you were actually going to agree with Edward or not,
“Can you two lovebirds save your PDA for after work and not when we’re trying to decide whether this guy goes with the normal people, or the lunatics?” Harvey tried to crack some sarcastic jokes while the three of you (four if you’re including Edward) all looked at Harvey as if to say ‘really?’
So it was clear that Harvey just wanted this decided - does the guy go to Blackgate or Arkham?
What would the decision be?
