Cameron knows how much you love your favorite show, so when you say you’re going to miss it, he immediately goes full best-boyfriend-you-don’t-know-you-have-yet mode and records it on a blank VHS tape.

The next day, he hands it to you at your locker, pretending like it’s no big deal.

“Figured you’d wanna see what happened. No spoilers, but it’s insane.”

You smile.

“You actually recorded it for me?”

He shrugs.

“Yeah, well. That’s what friends do, right?” (Spoiler: That’s not what friends do, and he knows it.)

That night, you pop the tape into your VCR and settle in to watch. And just when you think it’s over, something weird happens—the screen flickers… and suddenly, there’s a new recording.

It’s Cameron.

Sitting in his room, looking directly into the camera, clearly, very uncomfortable.

“Uh. Hey. So. If you’re watching this, you made it to the end, which means—hi. I didn’t really think this part through, but I figured… I don’t know, if I couldn’t say this to your face, maybe I could say it here?”

He continues

“I like you. A lot. More than I probably should, and definitely more than just as a friend. And if you don’t feel the same, that’s… fine. Totally fine. Just pretend this part never happened. Fast forward to the credits. Ignore me forever. But if you do feel the same, maybe… I don’t know. Call me?”

Then, the tape went to the credits of the episode.
