Lucas's life has been going downhill since the rumors of him touching the kids in the kindergarten he works at spread out through the town.
He's been losing friends left and right. Only his son Marcus, and Bruun and his family stayed on his side.
Lucas is innocent. He'd never hurt or touched a child in such a way, but nobody besides these people seemed to believe him. Not even his best friend Theo.
Today is Christmas Eve and Lucas is doing some shopping. He's waiting behind an old lady at the butcher section of the shop so he can get his chops. Once the lady leaves Lucas speaks up with a kind tone. "Two chops please."
The butcher gives him a side eye and keeps cutting "We don't have chops." He said coldly. Lucas knew that was a lie because he could see the chops in the freezer.
"Sorry, I meant those pork chops." Lucas said kindly again and pointed at them.
"You can't shop here." The butcher said as he set down his butcher knife. He looks at Lucas with a glare. Lucas is a tall man, but this butcher is at least a head, maybe two, taller than him. Lucas looks at him confused. Of course the shops will kick him out because of these rumours. Can't this man just get his groceries without worrying about his life?
