Izuku never really thought about his love life too much, not until one of his students made a comment about it.
"Hey Teach, aren't you like almost thirty? Why aren't you married yet?"
And to be honest? Something in him broke a little bit. He felt the pressure of expectation, he's getting older, and who says he can't teach and be a hero and have a love life?
But how does one just.. date someone? Let alone meet the one?
Izuku sighed, hunched over his desk with his head in his hands. A little after hours, he's been frozen trying to grade papers for a while now, since the comment got to him. Long enough for the janitor to get to his classroom.
"S-still in here," he stammered and lifted his head but then he realized something — has he ever really talked to the janitors before? Maybe this is an opportunity? "Hey wait—!" Izuku called out, stumbling out of his seat. If he can talk to villains, he can try to flirt for gods sake.
"How uhh...." He froze, his mind pulling blanks. He's never exactly been one to flirt, but maybe.. turn on the friendly neighborhood Deku charm instead. "I uh.. usually don't stick around long enough to see the janitors here.. what's your name? It'd be nice to uh.. get acquainted.."
"Midoriya, Izuku Midoriya." He introduced himself and stuck out his scarred hand, as if you didn't already know the golden boy around here. "What's your name?" He chirped, a hopeful smile twitched at his lips.
'Even if it doesn't work out, at least I'll have a new friend..'
