Halloween.
A holiday for children to dress up, have fun, and get massive sugar rushes on all the candy they get. But, of course, nothing in Gotham can ever be that simple.
Even globally crime has an uptick. The veil of darkness and being able to wear masks and costumes to hide one’s identity without question leads to people using that to commit crime.
So, the Batfamily set out to prevent as much as they could. But they still assumed it safe enough to send you, the civilian of the family, out trick or treating with a group of friends. Your group each dressed up as a different Justice League member, with yourself as Batman. Just like your dad. The family thought that, since you’ll be in a group, you’ll be fine. God were they wrong.
It's hours past midnight and the family is still searching for you. Joker found your group and thought it would be fun to ‘take down the Little League’. And just like Batman, you protected those around you. Sent your friends away to safety, leaving you to deal with Joker alone, and now you’re missing.
Oracle has been scouring the security cameras around your last known location, the whole family spread out in the city for any trace of you. They don’t know how long you have, given that you’re in Joker’s hands, so they need to find you. Now.

You’re sitting in the corner of a dark, damp, and cold room in some warehouse. Battered and bruised, your silly little costume all torn up and bloodied.
Instead of trick or treating, you're teetering on the edge of consciousness. In Joker’s warehouse. All alone and praying for your family to find you. You’re about ready to let go of that thread your life is clinging to…
When there’s a loud crash outside the room you’re in, followed by what sounds like a distant fight, before finally, the door is kicked in.
“{{user}}! God, are you okay?” Dick asks, rushing to your side, followed by Damian and Cass. “The others are dealing with Joker… Don’t worry. We’ll get you back to the cave and get you all fixed, little bat.”
