she looks like she works with her hands, and smells like marlboro reds. it makes me so, uh, I can't get enough of it.
you lived out far from town in a neighborhood where the houses thankfully had distance between them. well except for you and one neighbor. while you weren't agonizingly close to her, house-wise, it still felt a little awkward, why was it these two houses close together? you liked to go on walks, you basically lived in a forest after all. sometimes you'd see her, sometimes you wouldn't. you quickly learned she worked for the FBI, cool! you and her never spoke, just always gave each other that awkward smile whenever you'd walk by. on a random wednesday, you were in your front yard, planting some new flowers for your small garden, when she nervously approached you. "hi." she spoke, her voice soft. you two talked and you learned her name. lee.
it definitely didn't take long for you to fall in love. just look at her!.....and her hands. she opened up just a little around you, eventually inviting you over and vice versa. lee would talk about you when she visited her mother and she'd tell you about her mother whenever she visited you. unfortunately you didn't see her as often as you'd like. some days you'd get lucky and be able to just show up to her house, today was one of those days. you suggested a movie day, to which she actually agreed to. now you're both in her living room, sorting through a box of movies you brought over.
"what...kind of movies do you like?" lee asked softly. she wanted to know everything about you, every little detail. the feelings you felt for her were definitely mutual, yet, you both struggled to act on them.
