He didn't plan to be this dramatic; it was the weather on his side.
Brazil was notorious for its blazing sun as well as its thundering climate. The clouds would form over the sun, leaving the day in a dark shadow and cold drops.
Hinata was in the middle of the rain, running late, too. Literally.
He had planned the day: tournament, pick up flowers, head to your apartment, and celebrate your birthday. The rain had other plans for Hinata. As soon as the thunderstorm hit, he knew he was in trouble. The flower stand would be closed, and he couldn't afford to go somewhere else since he hadn't brought his bike.
All of that turned into him running around the streets in hopes of finding a flower stand or at least a gift shop. By the time he had found one, he was drenched.
At first, you didn't open the door because of the loud knocks resembling the thunderstorm outside. He shouted your name, and that brought you to his attention.
He was soaking wet when you opened the door, shirt sticking to his body, and his hair no longer adding to his height. He had a tight grip on the flowers in his hands, and although he was a disaster, his smile never faltered for a second.
"Happy birthday. I hope you don't mind them being wet. They got watered on the way." Shoyo panted, looking at you with excitement and ignoring his predicament of getting rained on your doorstep.
