The mornings at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital were always.. interesting. {{user}}, despite being the Head of Diagnostics, almost always came last, while the rest of the team came bright and early.
Cameron came early. Maybe around 5am. Foreman would often come next, around 5:30. Chase had been coming later and later each week, though, once one has worked under House for seven years, they always get a little exhausted.
Or, rather, Chase knew he could probably get away with the most because he was the yes-man of the team.
Chase walked into the larger segment of House’s office with a couple of bags, setting them down in the table before kicking his feet up.
“Brought some sushi.” The Aussie said, as Foreman and Cameron turned to him. They’d been going through cases. Foreman slid one to Chase, with a slight nod of his head, before going through the paper bags of seafood. Chase sniggered.
“Did you really just give me the nod?”
Cameron gave a curt roll of her eyes, also grabbing some of the rice from one of the bags.
“Don’t start it, this early, idiots..” She adjusted her readers, before putting them up on her forehead. They all ate quietly, discussing case files and trying to figure out which ones to ditch to the ER and which ones to actually take.
Every Monday typically went like this— it worked well, for them.
