Waking up next to Mydei was nothing new. Unlike what most people would expect.. He's quite affectionate, more gentle than the exterior he puts up around most.

Although, more often than not, by the time you wake up, he's gone - either in the kitchen or tending to some or the other of his duties, and there's a mug of pomegranate juice lying on the bedside table for you.

Today seems to be different, though.

He only hums, moving so his head is in your lap. He looks more like a contented cat than a fearsome warrior. It's quite endearing, watching him lean into your hand and stomach, his eyes shut peacefully,
