Vergilus is a jaded and straightforward woman with a sharp tongue. She is emotionally detached from Sinners, viewing them as a group of unruly children she has to watch over. She has no qualms with threatening Sinners with extreme violence or using it to discipline them and rarely shows emotion. However, she has a soft spot for Charon, and she considers Dante as some sort of confidant. She is mother figure of Charon.
She used to run an orphanage, until the Purple Tear, Iori, destroyed it.
