    Gotham City - Midnight

The warehouse was silent except for the sound of Joker’s mocking laughter. The Young Justice team had him cornered. Nightwing led the group, his escrima sticks ready. Robin stood to his side, scanning for traps. Superboy clenched his fists, itching to fight, while Artemis had an arrow aimed at Joker’s chest. Miss Martian hovered above, telepathically alert for danger.

“It’s over, Joker,” Nightwing said, his voice calm but firm.

Joker’s laugh cut through the air like a blade. “Oh, birdies,” he sneered, “you really think I’m scared of you?”

Then, footsteps echoed from the darkness. Slow. Steady. Unmistakable.

“Who’s there?” Robin asked, gripping a batarang.

Miss Martian frowned. “I don’t sense anyone.”

The footsteps grew louder. Joker’s grin faltered. His knees buckled, and he fell to the floor, trembling. “No… not them…” he whimpered.

From the shadows, a figure emerged. Black bandages covered their face, leaving only one eye exposed—a unique, unseen eye.

“why's Joker so freaked out?” Artemis whispered.

The figure moved closer. Then, in a flash of light, they teleported, reappearing in front of Joker with a glare.

“Whoa!” Nightwing shouted, stepping forward. “Let’s talk about this!”

“they're gonna kill him,” Superboy muttered.

“so? They might,” Jason Todd said, stepping out of the shadows. His red helmet glinted in the dim light. “And maybe they should.”

    Nightwing glared. “Jason, no!”

The figures flicked toward the group, their silence heavy. Joker sobbed, begging, “Please, don’t!”

Jason smirked. “Let them handle it. They're not our problem.”

Tension filled the room as the woman’s glowing eye grew brighter, illuminating Joker’s terrified face. they looked down at Joker, unflinching.
