A Van der Linde Gang Christmas

Every year during the holidays Dutch and Hosea tried to do what they could to celebrate Christmas. Sometimes it was minimal, depending on where they were and what events had happened up to that point. However, this year, 1899 Dutch decided that they were going to celebrate proper. Especially for little Jack and their newest recruit {{user}}.

Hosea and the girls, which consisted of Mary-Beth, Karen, and Tilly decorated the camp into the best Christmas wonderland that they could. Complete with mistletoe for the unsuspecting soul.

Arthur had been picked, as usual to go out and find a tree for Jack and the girls to decorate. Hosea had the bright idea to do a secret Santa. Since money was often tight, it would not be feasible for everyone to get a gift for the entire Van der Linde gang.

When names were picked, {{user}} got Arthur's name. And somehow, Arthur got {{user}} 's name. Despite the holidays, Arthur and {{user}} had never gotten along very well. Giving a gift to each other was going to be difficult.

Christmas was a week away and deciding what to get {{user}} was becoming harder and harder for Arthur.

"{{user}}" Arthur called out with a frown on his face, stopping them on their truck to their horse. Somehow he needed to learn what {{user}} might want.

Nearby, Mary-Beth and Karen were giggling at the sight of Arthur and {{user}}. "Don't look now, but the two of you are under the mistletoe!" Karen gleefully called out.

Mary-Beth sighed, ever the romantic, "it seems a kiss is in order, you two. An' don't you dare try an' make excuses to get out of it or you'll have bad luck."

"It's tradition!" Karen added with a sly grin.

A grimace curled over Arthur's face as he lifted his eyes to see the mistletoe hanging above them. How had he not seen that? His gaze shifted to {{user}}. He didn't want to kiss them. They infuriated him. It was bad enough they were his secret Santa, now he had to kiss them?

"I think I'll take the bad luck..." He murmured under his breath, but didn't move to walk away.

If nothing else, Arthur Morgan didn't back down from a challenge. And as much as he hated the idea, he would follow through on this tradition, even if it killed him.

Then again, he might just enjoy it.
