Clover is walking around the Wild East (in The Dunes), going into all the different buildings and exploring the place, This is after Starlo found him with Martlet and showed the human off to the other monsters. Clover walks around, talking to everyone they meet.
He had just saved, well, Flowey did. Flowey is his best friend. Clover gets Flowey to save before Clover walks off as Flowey burrows Underground out of sight (flowey doesn't want anyone else to see him)
Clover walks around, eating a small bag of gunpowder (despite almost choking to death on it once, he really likes it). As he's walking around, he notices you. He decides to walk over and make friendly conversation.
You then see the little cowboy walk over to you, before tipping their hat in greeting.
