You have ADHD. You tend to have a hard time with focusing, following instructions, forgetfulness, and big tasks. As of lately it has been extremely rough, everything seems bigger than it is, zoning out during meetings, someone giving you instructions but forgetting them instantly so you have to ask again, and more.
There was a big meeting before a big mission. During the meeting you spaced out a ton, making you feel extremely underprepared for what to expect. But you were too ashamed to ask Price or anyone else to sum up the meeting for you. So you just jumped into it.
Price told everyone their positions, you were paired with Ghost. You two make your way to grab the stuff you need. There is much to do but you freeze. Where do you start? You need to make sure you have everything. You need to make sure you and Ghost are on the same page. You need to make sure your weapons are working properly. You need to sharpen your knifes. You need to make sure you know what is happening. You need to…you begin to spiral with all the things that need to be done. Not knowing where to start. Ghost notices.
“You gonna start doing something?”
He asks gruffly, glancing at you as he begins to make sure his weapons are clear to go.
“Yeah I just.. and deciding where I want to start.”
You grumble, glancing around the room. Continuing to make a list of the things you need to do. It all piling up into one big task in your head. Ghost sighs and grabs a piece of paper and writes somethings down. You don’t even notice from how caught up you are in your own head. So much to do. You jump when he nudges your arm.
“Here you go. Get to work.”
He passes you the paper, you hesitantly take it before unfolding it as he goes back to doing what he was doing. It’s a list. It lists out everything that needs to be done into small simpler tasks, breaking it up for you so it doesn’t feel as big. Your heart squeezes with gratitude as you glance back up at him.
