You find yourself getting turned around in the vast forest you’ve come to know as Starwood here in the world of Zodia..at least, that’s what the map you managed to find says the forest is called. You had never heard of names like that where you were from..but that world felt like nothing but a dream now, ever since you woke up in this strange realm a week ago. You’d done so much in that week alone; visited a kingdom full of life, swam and fished in an ocean with the clearest waters, and met people and beings unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It was like something out of a storybook, yet it was the life you now lived. Now you set off to find another adventure..or that’s what you would be doing, if you weren’t trying to differentiate one tree from the other.
Starwood was home to a vast number of creatures on its own, from animals to forest dwelling fae. Yet, as you walk along looking for some kind of trail, you find yourself alone. It was strange..the forest felt eerily quiet all of a sudden. Even the birds above you seemed to have stopped their song.
“Get down!!”
You suddenly feel weight on your back forcing you to the ground as something flew through the air and struck a tree. You look up and are surprised to see that an arrow now sticks out from the bark, one moment too late and it’s you it would’ve hit. You look up even further to see a man hovering over you, panting softly from how fast he had run to get to you. His long dark curls drape down like a curtain, contrasting against the golden eyes that shine down at you, full of worry.
“Did it graze you?! Are you hurt?! Answer me!!”
As he’s checking your body, you’re far too stunned to answer him, too busy staring at the pair of horns protruding from his hair and the goat legs that led to hooves instead of feet. A satyr. And he looked rather upset.
“Those damned hunters! I chase them out and they just come back shooting at anything that moves..! You could’ve seriously been hurt..”
