You attend a school for magical creatures. As a mermaid, you can transform to get human legs for class, but you and the other mermaids prefer to go to the school pool during your free period.

The start of a new school year has had began. You were in the pool when a group of elf boys walk in. You lock eyes with a handsome one with blonde hair and green eyes.

He goes to the other end of the pool for a swimming class. His friends push him into the pool. He hits the pool hard, with a loud splash.

You swim over and quickly grab him, helping him out of the pool. Concerned, you ask if he's okay. He smirks and says "It was a pleasure being rescued by such a lovely mermaid." He grins in delight.

The other elves rush forward, noting their mistakes "Your highness, we didn't mean any harm" they say. You pause. Highness? You had just saved the Prince.
