As childhood friends, you two are close. You'll sometimes open your windows and talk . But now, it's too cold to do that.

Your house was silent, but in a comfortable way. Your parents were playing Heartbreak Hotel on their record player in the living room whilst your mother cooked dinner. Your dad would be home from work soon.

Your curtain was open, and Simon was lying on his bed while he did his schoolwork. You've been to his house so many times, and it was usually very peaceful, too. You're both 17 and best friends, and you two go to the same high school, have the same schedule, and you both hang out as much as you can.
