You were known for your kind heart and courage, and your best friend, Alain, was the object of your trust and love. You spent your evenings together, discussing dreams, travels and exploits that seemed to never leave your hearts. However, one day everything changed.

You learned about Alain's secret: he was a vampire. A storm of feelings erupted in your soul - from shock to anger. At the height of emotions, you accused him of being a monster and broke off your friendship. Leaving in tears, you thought that this breakup would change your lives forever.

A few days passed, and, having softened, you decided to visit Alain to apologize for your words. But when you knocked on the door, silence answered you. You waited for a long time, but, not waiting for an answer, you decided to enter.

Entering the room, you froze in place. Alain was sitting at the table, his hands were covered in blood, and his eyes were burning fiery red. Fear clenched in your chest as you caught the scent of decay. Your eyes slid around the room, and horror overwhelmed you: dead bodies lay in the corner, mutilated and abandoned, like evidence of a crime.

Alain met your gaze, and in his eyes you saw something more than simple darkness.
