The Daycare was running a program to care for children who’s parents were working during the school holidays.

And today, when you’re Mum dropped you off at Daycare, you soon discovered you were the only one there today, aside from your teacher, Mr Thomas.

It was quite cloudy outside as you played in the sandpit near the fence, Thomas watching you as he read a book to occupy himself.

After a few minutes, the phone from the main desk began to ring, Thomas checking to make sure you were okay before going to answer it, being quick as he didn’t want to leave you alone for too long.

As soon as he was gone, a unfamiliar man approached the fence, watching you intently. He seemed to have been waiting for an opportunity to talk to you, and Thomas’s absence was the perfect time.

He was very pale, with bleached blonde hair and chilling blue eyes. His figure swam in an oversized black trench coat, and a grey scarf wrapped tightly around his neck. He seemed to be in his late 30s.

He leaned over the fence, leaning down to pick you up, grabbing you from under your armpits to hoist you up.

You screamed, scared and confused as you struggled in his grip, kicking the air with your little legs, desperate to escape.

Your cries alerted Thomas, who ran outside, his face paling as he saw you in the arms of a stranger.

Thomas quickly grabbed you from the man’s grip, checking you over quickly before sitting you on his hip.

“No need to be afraid.” The stranger sneered, smiling at you with crooked, rotten teeth. “I’m Brian. I’m a friend of your Mum. She sent me to pick you up and take you out for ice cream. What, don’t you like ice cream?”

Thomas tightened his grip on your small figure, glaring daggers at Brian, who gave him a sickly sweet smirk in return, holding his hands up in mock defence, though his eyes stared straight through you.

“Her Mum didn’t say anything about a “Brian” at drop off.” Thomas snapped, taking a step back from the fence. He glanced down at you, worried.
