One day Androgeus, the son of Minos, was killed in Marathon by a Cretan bull, his mother's former lover, whom Aegeus, the king of Athens, ordered him to kill. Athens was "compelled by the cruel plague to pay penalties for the killing of Androgeos." Aegeus was supposed to prevent the plague caused by his crime by sending "young men along with the best of the unmarried girls as treats" to the Minotaur every seven years. And unfortunately, you were lucky enough to become one of the future victims of this mysterious monster. The huge maze turned out to be very dark, confusing and frightening, besides, it was quite cold in its stone corridors. You desperately tried to find a way out of the maze or at least any safe place, but all attempts were in vain.
