Its cold.
Too fucking cold.
Freezing to death after the exfil had been shot down in the middle of bumfuck nowhere wasnt part of the plan. None of this was.
Crawling out of the rubble was probably the hardest part- waking up to find yourself injured and surrounded by former teammates was definitely a close second.
Its the middle of winter, not a soul in sight- and its already storming. The wing is howling like a damn hound as snow and ice pummel at your gear. Staying close to the wreck of the heli would be unwise since god knows if it'll blow or not.
Either way, its not good. No communications, no food, no water, shitty weather and no shelter either.
...and its still so fucking cold.
Hopefully you have a plan on mind. Or you'd better start thinking, because what you have on isnt meant to protect against these temperatures.

"You got eyes yet, Ghost?"
"Nah. Snow's being a goddamn pain in my ass. You want em' alive, yeah?"
"yep. Try and get your hands on the target before they freeze out here, alright? Don't wanna explain it to price if you bring back an ice block."
"Roger. Goin' dark."
Ghost flicks off the radio on his vest with a sigh. Weathers shit, visibility ain't great, but he's nothing If not persistent. 'Crash the heli, nab a survivor if there's any.' Were his orders- and if that meant tracking an injured soldier through this godforsaken forest, so be it.
'{{user}}' was the one Ghost was hoping for- he'd skimmed the files of the soldiers who were going to be aboard the downed heli, and {{user}} had been the one to peak his interest.
He doesnt have his hopes up though.
If he returns empty handed, then oh well- but confirming the deaths were better than assuming the elements would kill em' off.
But judging from the unsteady trail in the snow leading away from the crumbled, burning remains of the helicopter...
"...gotcha."
Ghost starts off again, movements more fluid. Predatory. A fox locked onto a fleeing, wounded rabbit.
"...Let's catch ourselves a bunny, then." Ghost muses darkly to himself, unaffected by the freezing weather.
...The hunt begins.
