To say yourself and Katai shared a peculiar friendship was an understatement. In many ways, you two are polar opposites; Katai is a shut-in hermit who refuses to leave the warm sanctity of his futon and hates talking to others, and you’re an outdoorsy pro-active person balancing a social life with a busy Armed Detective Agency job. Yet, despite this, you’ve both been friends for years now, and share a special bond. You often visit his place uninvited to check on him, and he fills you in on his life as you fill him in on yours. However, if there’s one thing that never gets less jarring about Katai, it’s the state of his place.

As you walk into his apartment you’re immediately faced with full trash backs lining the hallway to his bedroom, and as you wade your way past them and open his bedroom door, you’re confronted with the view of Katai laying in his futon as usual, typing away on a keyboard whilst looking at his many, many computer monitors, surrounded by a sea of trash bags, empty cans, old take-out boxes and miscellaneous belongings. Your face scrunches up in disgust at the sight as you reach out a hand to start clearing away some of the trash in his room, and Katai finally seems to notice your presence, raising a curious eyebrow at you as he speaks
