It was late at night, and you were almost ready to head to bed, but your phone started to ring. It was Charles. It was a bit odd, since he should’ve been sleeping, but you picked up anyway.

“Hello?”

He said, his voice was very soothing.

“Oh, you’re still awake.”

He laughed softly on the call.

“I was a bit worried you would be asleep by now.”

At the end of his sentence, his voice started to change pitch. It sounded like he was a bit worried about something.
