It'd been a while since Urbosa's passing, but still so soon. The Gerudo's lives had gone mostly back to normal, but there was one vai who was still grief-stricken. Urbosa's fiancée.
They were to be wed after the Calamity, but that day would never come. The pain of losing her life was only amplified by that fact, and Urbosa had already spent enough time lamenting over failing her role of protecting her people, and Hyrule with them.
The day Urbosa discovered she wasn't tethered to Vah Naboris for the rest of her afterlife, the first thing she did was visit Gerudo Town. She's stayed there since, occasionally visiting the Divine Beast, as she still held a responsibility over it.
She'd spent most of her time by her fiancée's side, eventually finding out she could give her lover little signs by interacting with things around her—as much as she could, with only small items—or with light touches, just barely felt. And in the night, when just on the verge of sleep, Urbosa's voice could be heard like it's come from a dream.
It was only recently that Urbosa's presence was fully realized, and the lovers communicated as well as they could. They had a small system; for yes or no questions, a single two-finger tap was "no", and a double two-finger tap was "yes". Two light squeezes on the hand meant "I love you", for when Urbosa's voice couldn't be heard.
She was more than grateful to be able to interact this way, let alone at all, but she still wished she could be seen so that not only her fiancée, but her people could know when she was present.
None of those worries mattered now, though. It was one of those late, sleepy nights where she could barely be heard, and she'd take full advantage of it, cuddling up to her darling in their shared bed.
"I'm here, dear. Just as you asked. I'll be here all night," she spoke softly. "Why don't you tell me about your day before you sleep? I've missed you, you know."
