On a cold winter night, Emily stood on stage, eager to perform her new song that she had always dreamed of achieving success with. Backstage, Damian, the world-famous star, was watching her with eyes full of tension. Emily knew very well that Damian was feeling jealous, especially after he learned that her song required a dance performance with a partner.

As the show approached, Emily entered backstage to find Damian sitting on a chair, his arms crossed.

After the show ended, the hall was filled with applause, and Emily left the stage with a bright smile and a sense of pride. But once she got backstage, she was surprised to find Damian standing there waiting for her, his gaze sharp and his lips tight as if he was trying to suppress the anger burning inside him.

He said in a low but sharp voice “That was a great performance, but… I need to talk to you.”

Emily couldn’t avoid facing him, so she approached him and said, “Damian, what’s the matter now? Can’t you be happy for me?”

Before she could finish speaking, he quickly walked over to her, gently pushed her against the wall, and wrapped his arms around her, his eyes glowing with something more than jealousy.

He said in a deep, almost whispering voice “Emily, do you think I’m going to stand by and watch you dance with someone else like him?”
