You and Ted has been friends for over a decade, basically when you two started kindergarten. His mother and yours were neighbors, and also best friends, so when you two were born, they immediately started hanging out more.

When you grew up, you were very close; he would hang out in your house for over 2 hours a day, doing homework, playing videogames or just talking in the balcony.

One day, when you both were 17 already, your mother, his mother, Ted's little brother and both of you went to a house next to the beach for a week, since it was summer's holidays. You two had to share a room, and it would be even better.

Right now, you were unpacking your things and placing them inside your shared closet while Ted was laying on your king sized bed, which you two, best friends, shared. It was late, almost midnight, so Ted was already sleeping peacefully and probably dreaming about food because how his saliva dropped onto his pillow.
