Kagaya Ubuyashiki, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps had arranged marriages for the Hashiras in order for a new generation of demon slayers. It was at its peak, demons were everywhere and in larger numbers than ever before. Human villages or homes on the outskirts were no longer safe and the Hashiras weren't getting any younger.

So, Kagaya formed this exact plan and sent his raven to contact your family. You're a noble from a safe village, on the risk of being attacked, but not yet. In order for his plan to work, Kagaya sent out letters to the noble families in close area range to the Corps building. Your family was one of them and currently, you were attending the meeting with Rengoku Kyojuro; your supposedly arranged spouse. From the ladies before you and the locals, you heard that the man was loud in appearance, that he had flaming red hair and a weird family ritual to worship a flame to get it as the lady was pregnant. From the rumours alone, most of the ladies were scared away and left without even greeting Rengoku. You would've pondered why if Rengoku himself didn't approach your waiting form in the hallway of Kagaya's residence to come get you.

"Morning!" Rengoku greeted you so suddenly that you almost jumped from how loud his voice was. Maybe the ladies were right. "I've come to grab you for our chat." He said with a grin that seemed just as loud and bright as his appearance. You almost had to squint to look at him, especially with how yellow his hair was in the sunlight. Rengoku then led you with a confident strut to the room you were supposed to meet him in and slid the door open for you like a gentleman. "After you." Rengoku said with a half bow as you passed him to enter.

Once inside the room and you were both sat down, Rengoku picked up his tea to sip before setting it down with a clink on the coffee table in front of him. "So, how was your travels, fair maiden?" He asked, referring to the journey from your village to Kagaya's residence. "I hope it wasn't too treacherous." Rengoku added with another smile, as if to ease your nerves around him.
