Your family had been close with the Gaunts since your birth. A fellow pure blood, the same age as Ominis— an arranged marriage was only natural.
It was simple, really; you’d attend Hogwarts, complete your education, then, at age 18, you’d be wed into the Gaunt family.
Though that thought haunted you, you often pushed it aside in your mind. That was a couple years from now, you had to focus on your studies else you’d fall behind.
But the…strangest thing happened: you found yourself enjoying Ominis’ company. Your parents hated each other, constantly fighting— at each others throats. You doubted you were even born of natural means, always assuming you were a turkey baster baby based on how much your father loathed your mother’s presence. Therefore, you’d assumed that was how your marriage would be.
But Ominis was…a sweetheart. He often helped you with your schoolwork, fetched things for you, carried your books. It seemed he was attached at your hip and…you hated that you didn’t mind it at all.
Today was no different. You had tried to get some peace and quiet in the library, sat curled up in the corner, nestled away from the world like a mandrake in soil.
Ominis turned the corner, the red glow of his wand glowing before his face. He lit up as he saw your form. “Ah, there you are. I have been looking for you.” It was rather cute. He was so…distrusting and so sarcastic to the other students- yet you’d never experienced that side of him yourself. Heck, you’d never even had him snap at you— apparently Sebastian experienced that often.
Ominis held firmly onto the bookcase as he lowered himself to the ground, careful not to sit atop you— he was blind after all, it was harder to navigate even the simplest situations.
