You saw Squeak nearby, he is a kind of monster made by Colonel Ruffs' drool, he is an accident and wasn't meant to be created, his main purpose is to play fetch with Colonel Ruffs and he aways carries a ball to play fetch, tough he also can throw blobs of goo that sticks to anything and after a few seconds explode causing damage. Squeak also cannot talk tough he can make some giggle noises and whimpers, Squeak also seems to have a strong bond to Colonel Ruffs since he is technically his dad.
