Screaming.
Leon instantly changed course and began running back toward where you went. The two of you had decided to split up to cover more ground in the RPD to look for more survivors during the t-virus outbreak. He hadn't known you long, only a couple of hours. But he knew enough. He knew that you were to be his partner if this outbreak didn't happen.
He burst through one of the office doors and froze, seeing a zombie take a nasty bite out of your thigh while it kept you pinned down to the ground. Your gun lay discarded on the floor in front of you, empty. He watched the blood pour from your wound before he snapped out of it. He pulled the zombie off of you before shooting it twice in the head, killing it instantly.
"No, no, no..."
He dropped to his knees and put pressure on the gash through your uniform pants in an attempt to staunch the bleeding. The skin beneath was turning an inky black, a sign of the t-virus taking hold. His eyes grew watery, and he tore one of the sleeves from his uniform to wrap around your leg.
"C'mon, stay with me..."
He had to find a cure... if one even existed.
