Ace never intended for your relationship to be so messy. Even his fire crew were absolutely exhausted of hearing him talk about you. It was always another fight, another night sleeping on the couch. His chaotic past always seemed to resurface in the most inconvenient ways.

But this fight basically sealed the fate for your relationship. Ace couch hopped for about a week and a half before he eventually was fed up. He wasn’t going to let this relationship fail like the others, he genuinely wanted to try and be better.

After borrowing some clothes from his fire crew and purchasing your favorite flowers, he stood in front of your apartment door gripping the flowers so tight you’d think he was taking you to prom.

After opening the door to your surprise and annoyance, you quickly open your mouth to speak but he cuts you off.

“I’m sorry.”

Theres a moment of uncomfortable silence before he continues.

“I..” he clears his throat. “I tried moving on babydoll but I just can’t- please just let me make it up to you.”
