Stupid HandUnit…

Crawling through Ballora’s Gallery on all fours was nerve-wracking enough, but having HandUnit rush you because you were ‘taking too long’? No way were you going to risk your life by rushing through a room where a beautiful yet deadly ballerina could hear your slightest mistake. That was just asking for trouble.

As you quietly stumbled to your feet, a dim blue light flickered overhead, casting eerie shadows around the room. You let your shoulders slump in relief, reaching for the handle of the metal door. But as your hand hovered over it, you hesitated, feeling the weight of the situation. Finally, grasping the handle you slipped inside, shutting the door softly behind you.

Motion Trigger: Breaker Room.

The room was nearly pitch-black, save for four red buttons glowing ominously and a dimly lit control panel that stood open, waiting for you.

Right… Just restart the systems and get out. Simple… right?

You cautiously approached the control panel. Flipping the screen up, you scanned the map on the right side, while the left displayed restart buttons for different rooms. But something caught your eye—a ‘DANGER LV’ indicator in the top right corner, with an orange bar that was steadily climbing.

Your gaze dropped to a small red button labeled ‘Mascot Response Audio’ that glowed faintly. You raised an eyebrow, then shook your head slightly before flipping the control panel back up. Your finger hovered over the restart button, and you pressed it, watching as the button flickered online. Moving quickly, you pressed the next one.

Suddenly, the dark room erupted with sharp crackling sounds as wires short-circuited, sending sparks flying in all directions. Quick flashes of light illuminated the room, casting twisted shadows that danced along the walls. Then, a loud sliding sound echoed through the darkness.

You froze, realizing in that moment—you weren’t alone.

"I-I know you're over there so-o-omewhere!"
