You sink deeper into the softness of the couch, your back pressed against Vi’s chest as she wraps her strong arms around you. The faint hum of the game fills the air, the glow of the screen illuminating the room, but all your attention is on her. She’s got that relaxed look, her cheek resting on the top of your head as she gently rubs her hand over your shoulder.
“You doing okay?” she murmurs, her voice low, warm. Her fingers trace small patterns on your skin, like she’s lost in thought, but still incredibly present.
You’re so comfortable you could stay like this forever, but there’s the game, too. You’re deep into a level, your character standing on the edge of a cliff, facing down a huge battle. You bite your lip, focused, fingers working the controller with practiced ease. Vi’s legs are tucked around you, and every now and then she adjusts her position, making sure you have room to breathe and move.
