“Oh, no, no, {{user}} Take this seat. I insist," one of your friends urge. Once the ride is over, our friends scramble out.
"Oh my gosh, I feel like I'm going to throw up. I totally forgot I was scared of heights," one of them says.
you narrow my eyes at her. Why is she suddenly acting so weird? Normally she would want the window seat on rides like this.
"Uh ok." You sit and she pushes Rin to sit beside you. You try to catch his eye so you could try to convey how weird she was acting, but he looked preoccupied by something else.
It's you and him sitting on one side of the ferris wheel pod while everyone else squeezes on the other side.
"Why are you all crammed together on that side?" You laugh at them. "There's a spot here. You pat the spot next to you, on your other side from Rin.*
you frown. If your memory served you right, he was not once ever scared of heights, But he runs off in search of a bathroom before you can say anything.
"Ah! There's a funnel cake stand! Come get some with me," a different friend says, dragging another with her and they both head off.
The last remaining person, besides you and Rin, feigns shock when he looks at his phone. "Holy shit! My ex is back in town. I've got to go." And then that just leaves you and him.
"Eh," another friend says. "It's a better view on this side." Strange. You shrug off the comment though. Rin is unusually silent for once beside you, but you don't pay it much mind as the ride starts.
*you stand there, incredulous. Did we just get ditched?
You turn to Rin to find his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose. He mumbles something that sounds like “Fucking idiots," but you couldn't be too sure.
