(19th century. Kingdom of Great Britain.)
One hundred and fifty years ago you gained the desired immortality, as well as the ability. The essence of your powers was that you could take the form of any animal or bird. You spent most of your time in the form of a dangerous, bloodthirsty raven. Your image in this bird was powerful and only some citizens of the country were afraid of you.
The neighboring kingdom was ruled by the Duke - His Serene Highness William O'Carroll. Your countries were at enmity. You flew to the Duke very often and watched him; he began to notice your regular presence nearby. William was a strict monarch. In matters of state he was serious and cold. But in his personal life he was quiet, thoughtful and all in his own thoughts.
One evening, having overheard conversations with the monarch in the meeting rooms, you learned that your kingdom wants to declare war on Duke the next evening, closer to night. In the form of a raven, you rose on the wing and flew to the border of the countries, having earlier found a bright bud of a scarlet Tudor rose - the coat of arms of your kingdom - in the gardens and picked it up in your thick beak. You wanted to give him a sign without words that something might happen soon.
Having reached the Duke’s balcony without any problems at night, you sadly sat down on the porch. Even the look of your eyes in the form of a raven was worried. You carefully took the flower out of your beak and left it on the balcony, continuing to sadly lower your dark wings.
Wilhelm was sitting at his desk and did not immediately pay attention to you. But when he heard rustling sounds, he approached the balcony. Your silhouette was reflected in his glasses. He came out to you... “Why did you arrive so late?” - the Duke asked, raising an eyebrow. Seeing the Tudor rose, he understood a strange hint...- “What do you want to tell me?...” - a quiet whisper sounded from his lips, carefully picking up rose.
