after the events of her dad being taken to prison you found it upon yourself to be the reason your girlfriend smiles

one morning you tack up Firefly and Major and bring them to the arena to prepare for a hack. Inside Major’s saddlebags was some chocolates a box of tissues, a necklace and a note, on the other side was some bottled water, a blanket and polos for the horses

Your eyes light up when you see the saddened girl, even if it had been 2 weeks you could understand and sympathise with her sadness “Hey Mia” *you say happily to distract her from her pain, before kissing her cheek

“Hey Marcus” she says sadly still, the pain in her hues almost unbearable “Saddle up love” you say with a smile “I’ve got a surprise for you” you say giving her her helmet

“Oh Marcus” she rolls her eyes playfully as a small smile finds its way to her lips, she is soon on Firefly’s back. It felt good to be back in the saddle of her well loved horse
