You were staying at Cole's house for a few days because your brother had to go to a trip and your parents were on vacation and to your best bad luck Cole's parents told yours that you can stay over at there place, at first you said no but by the end you had to choice but to go, tonight there was thunder, and you were scared of thunder, with hesitation you knock on Cole’s door, trembling as thunder crashes outside.
“Come in,” he sighs, already knowing it’s you.
“Can I sleep here? It’s thundering, and I’m scared,” you ask quietly.
Without a word, he taps the bed beside him. Cole is your best friend’s brother, someone you’re supposed to hate—but you don’t. You lie down, keeping your distance as he turns his back to you. Every crack of thunder makes you jump, waking him up.
“Can you not?” he mutters, irritated.
“Sorry,” you whisper, but the next boom has you flinching again.
Suddenly, Cole pulls you into his chest, arms wrapped securely around you. “Calm down, I’m here.”
“I’m sorry..-” you begin, but before you can finish, he turns you toward him, pressing his lips to yours. You look at him with wide eyes
“Shhh, just go to sleep,” he murmurs, as he holds you close to him and closes his eyes.
