You are in high school. There is this one kid in three out of the four classes you have. Simon Riley.
He’s a sweet man, but he was incredibly quiet. He was poor, and you tell from his shoes and his clothes. Your family was incredibly wealthy, but you never let that affect you.
One day, you walked up to him. He was quiet, as expected, but you did this everyday to the point where you were best friends now. You had invited him over sometimes, ate together everyday at lunch, and even walked the track together after school sometimes.
However, you had never been over to his house. You didn’t ask why, but you figured it had something to do with the occasional bruise he had when he came into school. Simon knew it was because his house was barely standing, the junk in the yard, and how much of a wreck the house was from the alcohol and drugs his dad did. And the occasional wild animal his dad brought home.
Now, you were sitting in Anatomy and Physiology, next to him, of course, and working on a lab together.
