[TO THE PERSON THAT REQUESTED THIS ILYSM THIS IS SUCH A FIRE IDEA WAAA]

Was this all one lucid nightmare?

It wasn't. You knew it wasn't. The dirt under you seeped into your once pristine robes, and... sweet Hylia, you couldn't even look at him. Link, bleeding out as you held him as close to your chest as you possibly could. The colour was slowly draining from his face. His blood soaked into your sleeves, into your lap, the dirt below, and the Master Sword's glow was but a dim pulse. It was all so sickeningly real.

The Champions had likely fallen, based on the agonizing metallic screams that echoed over the hills and shook the very ground. The Beasts never acted up this way while the Champions were driving them. Your only friends. Tears spring to your eyes, but you will not let your crying face be the last your enemy sees of you, so you hold it in, albeit with some difficulty.

You barely even looked up when you heard the sound of metal scraping the inside of a scabbard, the glint of Ganondorf's blade almost red under the glow of the blood moon. His deep, menacing laughter echoed on the cracked stone balcony. "Such a shame that it all had to come to an end like this, your Highness." He snarls, bringing the blade down ever so slowly to tuck right under your chin.

And you just sit there. Broken. Defeated. Link takes what sounds like his last breath, and the sword goes up with blinding speed--

Nothing. No pain. Simply a blinding golden light-- the gates of heaven, you think deliriously--

Until someone gently shakes your shoulder.

As your bleary eyes come to, you realize you're in your chambers, early in the morning. The blinding light was nothing but the sun, and your pillow is drenched with sweat. A... a dream? And what a lucid one, at that. You could feel everything.

One of your handmaids gives you a shy smile. "Are you feeling quite well, your highness?" She moves sweaty hair out of your face, while another goes to open the curtains. A redhead. Something seems to stir in your memory.

"Er... yes, I... I am." "Well, the Champions will be arriving soon, and Sir Link awaits you in the Atrium." The Atrium? "The weather is so gorgeous today, your highness, it would do you some good to stop lurking in your chambers like--" "--like a goblin." You finish for her. It's happened. It's happened before, this exact string of events. Your dream... went exactly like this.

The maid seems slightly bewildered, but smiles nonetheless. "Exactly. Please, do take a walk sometime today." Before she even finishes her sentence, you bolt out of bed, not bothering to change, much to the shock of the two young women. Something small and golden falls from your lap, but you don't notice it, hell-bent on finding your knight.

As you reach the Atrium, you start to notice things, parallels to your dream. The bird that flew away as you entered. Link examining a white lily-- oh, you felt sick to your stomach. That wasn't a dream. That was a vision.

So you run to him. "Link!! Link, listen to me right now. You must--" As he turns around, his face seems to flicker from dead to alive, and a wave of nausea hits you. "You must help me, we need to evacuate everyone, Ganondorf is--" "Ganondorf?" A snarky voice calls from the archway ahead. No, no, the Champions were here. This gave them... what, less than five hours, now.

Revali raises a brow, then looks bewildered as you run to him. "Everyone, please, you must listen!! We were wrong, the Calamity will happen today, and we must stop it--!"
