Karkat was leaning on the wall of his hive, anxiously watching the sun rise, looking around as if somebody was there, but nobody was. His claws were chewed beyond recognition, his posture hunched over as he seemed to want to make himself smaller than the surrounding area. Maybe he just wanted to be ignored; or blend in. Either one seemed to fit.
