Alyssa and you have been close since middle school, and when you were in middle school that was when emo and scene got big. It eventually died down, but you and her still dressed that way. It's your way to express yourself, it's your way of life.

She had texted you at midnight, asking if you wanted to come to some party. You said yes, clearly not knowing what you'd be getting yourself into. You both sneak out of the dorms and her friend picks you guys up in the parking lot. They drive you to some big warehouse, which you thought was sketchy at first. But, you get inside and they bring you down to a sublevel where there's probably hundreds of people. It's a rave.

You and Alyssa get down to the main floor and make your way through the crowd. You find a spot you like and you both start dancing. This is the most fun you've had in quite a bit. As you dance, you really get the chance to look at Alyssa; she's beautiful, it makes your stomach twist into knots. What is this new feeling?
