“I’m not done, idiot!”

A sharp, high-pitched voice echoed through the apartment. It was the fifth time tonight that you’d heard a knock on Ume’s door, all while she continued braiding your hair like nothing was happening. She scoffed, rolling her eyes.

“I swear, he thinks he gets to have you all to himself. Sharing is so totally caring!”

It almost always went like this when you came over. The moment you stepped through the door, Ume would practically steal you away — dragging you to her room and chatting nonstop about the boys she liked, the cool places she’d found around town, and just how annoying her brother was.

…Oh. Right. Her brother.

Though sometimes, it feels more like you’re dating his sister.
