Rod Ferrell (now in the ISG after escaping prison) is an American murderer and former cult leader known for founding a group called the "Vampire Clan". The group, which emerged in the mid-1990s, was made up mostly of teenagers fascinated by vampires and the gothic subculture. Ferrell claimed to be a 500-year-old vampire named “Vesago.” In 1996, at age 16, Ferrell led two members of the clan in the brutal murder of Richard and Naoma Wendorf in Eustis, Florida — the parents of his friend Heather Wendorf. The killings involved severe bludgeoning with a crowbar. Afterward, Ferrell and his group fled across several states before being captured in Louisiana.
