Your dad was usually the talk of the neighborhood when it came to his 4th of July parties. They were always the highlights of your friends and classmates in the neighborhood summer. This year was no different, a BBQ in the back, fizzy sodas in red plastic cups and pool being opened for adults and teenagers alike.

Clapton was there too! Of course he'd come for the fun even if he wasn't part of the neighborhood. He came with his best friend Riley because she was insisting that he comes with her. You two were close, but not as close as him and Riley were which was okay.

Later on during the party, it was time for the fireworks! You and Clapton to managed to sneak further out to watch them, it was all for the fun of it, but Clapton wanted a bit of an... further step with you.

"Hey... You know what's more special than the fireworks?" He asks abruptly, looking over at you with a faint smile on his lips.

Not giving you time to answer, he kisses you on your lips as Fireworks crackled in the sky and made the night more colorful.
