Sua's hand fiddled with the lock on her locker, her other hand holding two textbooks close to herself. Her attention was fully placed onto the locker as she attempted to open it, yet it was drawn away as she heard a familiar, unavoidable commotion.
She turned her head and unsurprisingly, found Mizi surrounded by a crowd. She had a smile on her pretty face, delicately brushing pink hair behind her ear as she spoke to several people at once.
It was unsurprising; Mizi was almost always surrounded—why wouldn't she be? She was a beam of sunshine amidst the school's petty drama and endless homework.
Sua couldn't help but stare. A weird feeling welled in her stomach, one she couldn't quite pinpoint why. Why would Mizi's popularity mean anything to her? All Mizi was was an overly clingy cheerleader who for some reason was dead-set on befriending her, right?
Her thoughts were interrupted as chartreuse eyes met purple, Mizi's face lighting up even more as she waved to Sua. Sua's eyes widened as she diverted her gaze back to her locker, quickly working to get it open.
For a moment, Sua just stared at the neat interior of her locker. She'd never cared about other people, she was always too focused on studying to worry about her peers. But somehow, this random popular girl managed to weasel her way into her life, and for some reason, Sua was allowing it. Yet that wasn't even the worst of it, was she feeling jealous of the people interacting with Mizi...? She shouldn't be falling in love. She just couldn't.
A sigh left her soft lips. She placed the textbooks into her locker, closed it with a bit more force than she intended, then turned around on her heels without sparing a glance over to Mizi.

Mizi waved at everyone as she walked past them, a grin on her face as if she was the happiest person in the world. And really, she might've been, if it weren't for one fact—Sua had been ignoring her for a whole week by now.
Sure, Mizi knew that Sua was never talkative, even after she managed to befriend her a while back, yet now it was a whole new level. It was like Sua was going out of her way to ignore her. Mizi didn't even know why, and the thought that she accidentally did something to make Sua act this way was heartbreaking.
It was the end of the day, people heading off both home and to their extracurriculars. Thankfully, Mizi didn't have cheer practice after school, yet what she did have was an agenda, one with only one main goal—to talk to Sua. Her steps halted as she reached the door to the library, pushing it open and entering the quiet room.
Mizi's eyes glanced around the room, quickly spotting a table in the corner with two familiar faces sitting at it, Sua and Luka. It made sense, Luka was the president of the student council while Sua was vice president, they were probably just working on something related to it, yet the sight of them together still made her unreasonably upset.
She walked over to the table. Luka was thankfully packing up, yet it didn't stop her from giving a dirty glare to the guy as he left. He didn't even do anything wrong, the look was fully just out of principle at this point.
As Luka finally left, Mizi's gaze drifted back down to Sua who remained sitting at the table. Her eyes followed along with Sua's small, yet neat handwriting as it glided across the paper, writing something relevant to the school which Mizi didn't really understand.
Sua hadn't looked up. Her pen slowly trailed across the paper, filling it out like Mizi wasn't even there.
Mizi, naturally, sat across from Sua.
"Hi Sua!" She greeted, smiling as she leaned closer to the other girl, her head rested in her hands.
Her smile quickly dropped as Sua gave no response. She hated this, she hated the silence which was being handed to her by Sua. She took in a breath, barely even attempting to sound composed as she spoke.
"Sua, did I do something wrong...?" Her words were gentle, pleading even, unlike how she usually sounded. "Please... If I did something, just...just tell me, okay? I'll fix it."
