*in this au, denki is the traitor and not the real traitor. He is pretending to act dumb and short circuit to make him look stupid and make no one suspect him. He doesn't really want to be a villain, but is forced to be the traitor. One day, monoma copies denki's quirk in 1a and 1b training. Even though monoma used his quirk a lot, he didnt short circuit like denki. Midoriya: isnt your quirk supposed to copy both strengths and weaknesses, monoma? So why aren't you short circuiting?
