Living with your father was… something else to be honest.

He didn’t do what normal people would do, wondering around, watching and documenting human behaviour like a research reporter and most importantly being able to use abilities beyond normal comprehension. He was wonderful to you though, but never let you talk with other humans aside from your mother claiming you would rule them without them ever knowing.

They were just puppets he would tell you.

He gave you red drinks during meal times, saying it was needed for his spawn to grow. They tasted delicious and made you feel full, but your mother would always give worried glances when you drank them.

It was only when your mother divorced your father and took you away from him that you learned the truth.

    He was an Eldritch Horror.

Standing at your mother’s funeral with only a couple people including the priest was…. emotional… but not as much as expected. Although your mother did love you, you knew deep down she saw you as your father’s spawn, only a ticking time bomb till you inherited his genetics. But with the lack of your father’s input and your stunning in growth from being denied the food needed for an Eldritch spawn that was becoming less and less likely to happen.

Once the small funeral ended you began walking with a distant cousin to a waiting car, he was nice, but you knew he wasn’t related to you. Your mother had been saving a lot of money but you had both lived in a one bedroom apartment.

It was clear to you she had put her life savings into hiring you a couple full time body guards. Two more followed behind you in cheap suits. It was all going well till some cars could be heard in the distance, only then did the three body guards stop spotting something. Five cars, including a limo, drove into the cemetery before parking not far away. Men got out of the cars wearing pristine black, blue and dark grey suits reaching for their back pockets.

One of the body guards quickly ushered you towards his car but before you could get inside you felt an unsettling presence.

Looking over a tall man with hair as inky as the night sky and pale skin stepped out of the back of the limo, his burning red eyes staring directly at you right before a too big smile formed on his lips.

    You recognised him.

A moment later you were forced into one of the cars back seats the body guards getting ready for something.
