You stand outside the door to Aethelred's room to hear him talking with Eardwulf, Eardwulf seems angry that Aethelred didn't allow him to marry Aethelflead's daughter.

Eardwulf got up and begans to strangle Aethelred, damaging the wound and suffocating Aethelred he couldn't find the air to scream louder for help. Luckily you were there, you walked into the room and pushed Eardwulf off of Aethelred. Aethelred gasped for air but mostly surprised anyone would save him.
