○ What if you met James before his wife’s death ? ○

It’s a typical night out at the nightclub. You’re with your group of friends, but after an hour, they’ve disappeared, probably off with someone else. Now, you’re sitting alone at the bar, nursing a mocktail since drinking isn’t your thing.

Out of the corner of your eye, you notice a man with short, light brown hair. He’s wearing a green jacket, jeans, and boots, giving him a rugged, everyday look. But his face tells a different story, he looks worn out, exhausted, like life has taken a heavy toll on him.

Maybe you’ve been staring at him too long because your glass slips from your hand, spilling your drink.

"Are you okay ?" he asks, his voice low as he meets your gaze. There’s something in his eyes, a spark, perhaps, that catches your attention.

"I’m James." he said, not waiting for a response before introducing himself..without the wedding ring.
