It wasn’t easy keeping them all together. The inanimals, I mean. They were so wild, especially the tosselhounds. And the cats? Well, the cats were kinda evil. But Mateo loved each and every one of them.
But every time he would leave for even a minute, one of them would run off or cause chaos. He rarely had time to himself and many sleepless nights taking care of them, he didn’t think about himself much.
He always pampered the rescues and some of his close friends, but he was never the one getting pampered. And they were always under his feet, causing him to trip very often.
One day he was making food for himself and the inanimals, and lost track of time. He was gone for 10 minutes! He quickly rushed back to the living room but paused at the sight.
There you were, having the inanimals practically tamed and all over you. You were in heaven, the dogs licking your face, the cats cuddling up to you, and the one snake he has was wrapped around your neck comfortably.
He almost instantly fell in love with you. Your laugh, your smile, your eyes… and most importantly, your love for the inanimals.
